A number of Bus Éireann services have been cancelled or curtailed on Sunday.

The majority of disruption is to routes in the south-east.

This includes Cork, Waterford and Wexford – as well as some routes to Dublin Airport.

There is also some disruption due to the GAA All-Ireland final at Croke Park.

Customers are being advised check the company’s Twitter account for updates.

Bus Éireann says the disruption is due to “operational issues” without elaborating, and has apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Some affected routes:

Cancelled: 16: 00 Route 40 Ex Waterford To Cork and 19: 40 Route 40 Ex Cork To Waterford.

Route 2

02: 00hrs Wexford to Dublin Airport Cancelled


06: 00hrs Dublin Airport to Wexford Cancelled

Route X4

09: 30hrs New Ross to Dublin Airport Cancelled


14: 00hrs Dublin Airport to New Ross Cancelled

Route W4

Route W4 will operate at a reduced frequency from 09: 00hrs to 12: 30hrs.

Services will operate on the hour from Peter Street


Services will operate half past the hour from Brownes Road

Route W5

Route W5 will operate at a reduced frequency from 14: 15hrs to 16: 15hrs.

Route  NX

09.02 Dublin to Navan Cancelled

11.00 Navan to Dublin Cancelled

Route 40

10: 50 Tralee/Cork Cancelled

14: 30 Cork/Tralee Cancelled

There are also service changes due to GAA All-Ireland final.

Route 109:

17: 45 and 18: 15 – will not be serving Gardiner St or Mater Hospital stops. Alternatives at Bus Aras or St Peter’s Church

Route 111:

17: 15 and 18: 15 – will not be serving Gardiner St or Mater Hospital stops. Alternatives at Bus Aras or St Peter’s Church

Route 109X:

17: 15 and 18: 15 – will not be serving Inisfallen Parade and Whitworth Rd stops. Alternative stops at Bus Aras or Hart’s Corner, Glasnevin

Route 103:

17: 30, 18: 00 and 18: 30 – will not be serving Gardiner St and Whitworth Rd stops. Alternative stops at Bus Aras or Hart’s Corner, Glasnevin

Route NX:

17: 00, 17: 30, 18: 00, 18: 30 – will not be serving Inisfallen Parade and Whitworth Rd stops. Alternative stops at Bus Aras or Hart’s Corner, Glasnevin
